One of the most common occupational health hazards is noise exposure. When employees are exposed to high levels of noise, it can result in several serious health hazards, including hearing loss. Noise-induced hearing loss is not treatable and can be permanent.
Due to these risks, OSHA requires employees affected by unsafe noise exposures to be enrolled in a Hearing Conservation Program, which includes Hearing Conservation Training.
Hearing Conservation training helps protect your employees from hearing damage by explaining how and why it occurs and how to prevent it. Hearing loss is permanent but painless, so your employees could be at risk without being aware. Hearing Conservation training is critical to maintaining good hearing.
Hearing loss is detrimental to the well-being of your employees, as it not only reduces their ability to interact with people and the environment, but it has also been linked to high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and dementia later in life. Thankfully, noise-induced hearing loss is 100% preventable!
Peace of mind knowing that you are working with a hearing conservation expert
If you use our noise dosimetry services, we will also review the test results with students. Our instructor will train students on how to read and interpret the audiograms and will be available for a one-on-one review of hearing tests with students after the class.
We provide each participant in the class with professionally-designed and easy-to-understand training materials written in clear and concise language—avoiding any complicated terminology that may cause confusion.
Our instructors have extensive experience with hearing conservation and OSHA regulations. They will provide an informative and comprehensive training session to answer any questions attendees might have.
Our hearing conservation training classes can be conducted either at our facility or at your office/job site.

OSHA requires that employees be trained before starting a job where noise levels exceed 85 dBA TWA and then annually thereafter. If you are not sure about the noise levels on your job sites, please contact us about noise monitoring and testing.
Retraining must also be completed for employees who experience a significant hearing loss identified through the audiometric training program.
Hearing Conservation training lasts 30-60 minutes, depending on whether the instruction is initial training or the annual refresher. The class may be longer if the instructor is reviewing onsite noise monitoring and audiometric test results.
Training can be done at your location or at our training room centrally located in Richmond, Virginia.
